Jacob Payne
Jacob Payne is a designer whose work explores the intersection of architecture, objects, and experience. He is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at MIT, where his projects engage with digital fabrication, material innovation, and the historical preservation of Black architectural heritage.
Jacob is currently a teaching assistant in the MIT architecture woodshop, where he helps students bridge digital design with physical fabrication. He has worked as a designer for firms including Julia Esque Studio, LAUN Studio, and Burr Salvatore Architects, contributing to projects across architecture, furniture, and industrial design.
